Shiwani, a Jersey girl by birth (and at heart), is a Seattle-based freelance writer, editor, and Web producer whose work has appeared on MSN, The Root, and The Examiner online. She worked as a Web producer for MSN City Guides and the Slate Magazine group, and as an assistant editor at Oxford University Press.
In 2007, she completed her MA in International Studies - South Asia at the University of Washington’s Jackson School. She also received her BA in journalism and literature at New York Universirty.
Although she specializes in covering cultural trends and community issues, she considers herself a general wanderer (and wonderer) of the world.
